Dr. Jason Hatfield graduated in 1994 from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He then went on to graduate medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1998, and completed his medical experience with residency at University of Mississippi/North Mississippi Medical Center from 1999-2001.
Dr. Hatfield began his career in 2001 as a partner of Physician’s Clinic. In addition, he worked full-time as an ER physician at Northwest Medical Center. In 2004, Dr. Hatfield formed his solo family and sports medicine clinic, Hatfield Medical Clinic in Winfield, AL. After 14 years of serving his community with family and sports medicine care in his private practice, Dr. Hatfield decided to make the move to specialize in sports medicine care and joined OrthoSports Athens as a nonsurgical orthopaedics and sports medicine physician.
From 2002 until present, Dr. Hatfield has also practiced as a part-time Wound Care Physician. He was a Medical Director from 2003 until 2016. Dr. Hatfield has worked with Athens Limestone Wound Management Center since 2015 and has been serving as Medical Director in that facility since that time.

Dr Hatfield is an awesome doctor and listens to your problems and concerns.
Very thorough in explaining what happened and talked about the diagnoses and went into how and why I should treat my injury in a specific way.

Dr Hatfield is a very patient friendly individual. He talks to you about what is going on and he listens to what you have to say. His beautiful staff ( to mention a few I hope I at least get these right )Ashley,Alyssa,Katie,Karra, ( please forgive me I was so nervous I can’t remember all the names of the awesome young ladies that helped me). Please accept my apologies but you know who you are bc I made it a point to thank each and every one of you. From the cute squeegee toy to the program pamphlet,playing my praise song on your phone , bringing me that nice cold cup of water to talking me thru everything and assuring me I would be fine. Excellent patient customer service front front to back. Thank you Dr Hatfield and your amazing caring professional staff of beautiful young ladies. God bless you all and the work you do.

Dr. Hatfield is exceptional! There are multiple options for my care but I make the decision to travel to TOC Athens to see Dr. Hatfield.
Absolutely awful
Dr. Hatfield was wonderful today. He didn’t make me wait too long. He came in and described everything that was going on with my shoulder and explain to me what it could be in what we have to do in the next steps. I had a really good visit today thank you Dr. Hatfield.
