Dr. Jared G. Smedley, M.D., FAAO, is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He specializes in medical and surgical management of many eye conditions such as Dry Eyes, Cataracts, Glaucoma, Diabetic Eye Disease, Thyroid Eye Disease, Drooping Eyelids, Retinal Tears, Vitreous Detachment, and Macular Degeneration.
Dr. Smedley’s undergraduate studies were completed at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah where he played ice hockey for the Weber State Wildcats. He then went on to earn his Doctorate in Medicine degree (MD) from Michigan State University in 2014.
After medical school he completed a General Surgery internship at Maricopa medical school before finishing his ophthalmology residency in 2018 at Louisiana State University, one of the highest volume surgical training programs in the country, where he also served as chief resident.
