Never introduced himself and immediately said, we do t do nail care and then acted annoyed and rude when I told him that we drive in from wasilla because the front desk ladies said yes, of course we do nail care for seniors. Worst experience with a doctor in 90 years.

Dr Kern was very thorough in his evaluation of me. He took time to explain my issues and options.

My experience with Dr. Kern has been exceptional. I felt very confident in his knowledge and ability going into surgery. I have a Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, POTS and Mast Cell Activation, so I had a lot of questions for him and the surgery center. Dr. Kern and his staff made sure that all of my questions and concerns were addressed and I always felt like my care was their priority. I am 5 weeks out of surgery now, and everything is going great. He has gone above and beyond for me, and the staff is so nice and supportive. I appreciate that he covers all the options from least to most invasive and what exactly it will entail. I have felt very supported post surgery. Having a great Physical Therapy practice on site makes booking appointments so much easier! I am grateful that I found Dr. Kern, he is clearly very talented and I love the way he lights up when he is talking about what he can do to fix an ankle. I would definitely recommend him.

I was glad Dr. Kern replaced the padding around the lesion on my right foot that had been removed by Dr. Heleila. Due to the removal of the padding, the lesion grew in size and depth, exposing the tendon. Dr. Kern prescribed antibiotics in case infection set in to the bone.

I find it very challenging communicating with the masks on and have a hard time hearing Dr Kern who has a soft tone and at first I was misreading him and tried shrugging it off as it wouldn’t matter as long as he was good. It didn’t help that I had read previous reviews that were not the greatest but I found the opposite and he was quite frank and no nonsense as to what I needed to do to heal. I appreciated this because I just don’t have time to be down. He set me up for success and has kept me pretty pain free. I’ve been very impressed with him and his team.

Over all I have no complaints, except I disagree with him when he told me Medicare would not pay for me to have him cut my toe nails. I have documentatation showing where Dr, Randall got paid back in July when he cuts the toe nails. And it was done In Maine and in AZ. I pay $1776.00 yearly for Medicare and living of my social security alone I can't afford to pay an RN to come into my home and do that service every 3 months. thank you and have a wonderful day

Communication was poor; felt like we were being talked down to. The whole thing felt like we were in a sales commercial for orthodics. He didn’t even check my son’s walking to evaluate the problems he is having.

Decent foot doctor but unable to add to my blood test the conditions that caused the problem. I am the patient and I pay his salary. My simple requests should be honored.

He was able to answer my questions about any concerns was able to answer those. Not only that he had the bedside manners he actually cared and listened and took his time!!

Dr Kern is absolutely the most conscious doctor I have ever had. It is very rare to find a doctor these days that actually takes time with a patient, is extremely concerned and investigates before doing surgery!

Fast and effucient

I am exceptionally pleased with Dr. Kern. He takes the time to talk to me, even when I am 4,500 miles away.

This is the second time I have met with Dr. Kern. I do feel he took great care to explain and has given sound advice. He had a pleasant bed side manner. I would recommend him to others.

I came in with a train wreck for a foot in October. I told him my goal was to continuing hiking for the next 20+ yrs. He had 5 orthopedic surgeries to do on one foot and 2 ingrown nails as well. I have waited until June to make a post. I could not be happier. I can hike long hikes and backpack with no pain. My surgery foot is better than the other one. I pray I don’t have to go through this again, but if I do, I choose Dr Kern as my provider. One of the procedures was for a bunion. It was a long recovery. But I took care of my foot postop, as instructed, and started really reaping the rewards 7 months later. Thank you Dr. Kern

This was second opinion. Dr. Kern took the time to listen to what I was saying. The exam was more comprehensive than last dr. Read Dr. Chang's notes. He said I had ankle revision, not true, never said it. Just shows in the two minutes he spent with me he wasn't present.

Office appears very office (not client) centric. You are expected to show up 15 minutes before appointment and you still run late, rescheduled appointments, limited hours, billing errors and incorrect diagnoses. You might consider consulting with a business expert who could help get you on track.
