He later went on to complete medical school at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City, and afterward made his way to the desert climate of Las Cruces, New Mexico for his orthopaedic surgery residency. Upon completing his residency, he completed a fellowship in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery at Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle, Washington. During his time in Seattle, he contributed to several spine surgery courses on various spine subspecialties, ranging from spinal trauma to arthroplasty.
Dr. Cooke is invested in helping his patients learn about proactive measures for long-term spinal health, and what the least invasive treatment options will be when indicated. He is particularly interested in minimally invasive surgery techniques with an emphasis on active recovery and preservation of motion.
In his spare time, Dr. Cooke enjoys running, reading, traveling, and spending time with his fiancée Angela and their (though originally solely his) cat, Sundae. He and Angela have run multiple half-marathons together and are unabashed MCU fans.
