I was so impressed with the care team. The nurse ( so sorry I can’t recall her name ) was so kind and gentle with my 3 year old and got her to smile and laugh during a Covid and strep test, that’s talent. Our dr was also great and he explained everything and got the meds she need.

They ran a rapid test and that’s it. I am clearly symptomatic and there was no discussion about what it could be. Or exploring anything else. I have a feeling I will probably need to see a doctor again.

I had a serious medical flare-up that needed antibiotics immediately. My specialist told me they could not see me until mid week, and to go to the ER. I'd rather be treated by a Civil War doctor than to go to our local, corporate run hospital. Instead, I found Dr. James W on a Google search. He was open on a stormy night, and treated me with kindness and dignity. His staff were all acting as if it were actually a pleasure to treat my condition. He explained his reasoning for prescribing a particular med, and I did not feel rushed through the urgent care. It was like "old school" doctor visit instead of being processed like a lab experiment. I recommend this urgent care to anyone in immediate need of help

I didn't see Dr. Worriax. I don't remember the doctor's name but it definitely wasn't Dr. Worriax. For some reason, the doctor did not culture my throat swab! So I'm back at the urgent care again today to get another swab because this feels just like strep throat and I have a son with PANDAS who lives with us and he seems to be reacting . I don't understand why the doctor wouldn't have cultured the sample yesterday. Very frustrating.

Dr Worriax is always amazing. I’ve been bringing my kids here for years. Years ago, he had an awesome rapport with my teen during his football physical, he helped my daughter through a bellyache that turned into pregnancy a few years ago, and yesterday, he helped my 3 smallest sons through hand, foot, and mouth and keeping us all calm. He has such a way with people and communicating.

When you get there you call them from the parking lot,wait very little then your seen. He’s the first doctor other than my endocrinologist who I feel like genuinely cared and wanted to understand. He’s different than the rest. Very nice warm personality and doesn’t make you feel like you’re exaggerating when you talk about your symptoms. I wish he could be my PCP honestly.

He is awesome masonboro urgent care

Took a hit on my back ribs from falling down stairs. Masonboro urgent care had me in the back for X-rays in a flash. Everyone there seemed genuinely concerned about my problem. Hopefully I don’t need to go back anytime soon but if so I would travel the extra distance to go there. My local urgent care was closed because incident happened after hours. Top Notch!

This was the first time visiting Masonboro Urgent care. Dr. Worriax , his nurse and his staff were exceptional. They were professional, kind and you did not feel rushed. I will definitely return to see Dr. Worriax when I am in Wilmington and need medical care. . Their call ahead and get in line system is great. They give you plenty of notice so you can judge when to start your drive there. Call ahead and get in line to save your self time. Even the insurance/ billing staff was super helpful trying to help me get my insurance information straight.

Our child had fish hook stuck in his foot. Dr. James made our trip to the clinic less stressful by showing his patience and him talking to the kid the whole time while waiting for the anesthesia to kick in. Absolutely the best urgent care I have ever been to! Front desk nurse was so nice and polite, the check-in nurse was just as nice and the doctor was very knowledgeable. I Did the check in before going and was going to be about a 30 minute wait but by the time I got there they had an emergency patient which threw my wait to about an hour. I witnessed the emergency and I definitely knew the other patient needed their attention and put them behind. I’m Here on vacation and definitely wish there was an urgent care place like this in my hometown.!! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the place. Job well done to the entire staff!!

The reason for not a 5 is due to only reviewing the covid and flu results. Never looked at me to see if anything else might be going on. Simply just brought paperwork to my car. Also, the nurse did not take my blood pressure, however there is a bp listed on my chart...

That rating is not for the doctor I did not even speak to a doctor. I waited in my car for an hour and was forgotten. I had a temperature of 102 waiting in the parking lot and no one came out or call me back. Then, I was told it would cost me $45 for covid test? She said that was because I already had a positive test last year? So now we get penalized if we get covid twice. I'm a first responder and I don't have a choice but to go into the hospital and expose myself to save children. I am really disappointed with this place!

Not for the doctor, but for the check in procedure. Arrived as scheduled with my son, only to be sent a link for an EXTREMELY detailed medical questionnaire along with form for insurance information. Fudged through forms for myself in stuffy car then saw I’d have to do same for my son. Canceled and scheduled at CVS which was MUCH less hassle, and they didn’t make me wait til I arrived for my test to make me fill it out.

I understand that during this critical Covid experience exceptions out of the ordinary must be made. However, having to wait outside in my car to complete my “office visit “ for almost 2 hours was extreme.

Masonboro urgent care is awesome. Everyone from the providers to support staff are friendly and professional! I can’t say enough good things-.we have never been disappointed.

As a Health and Safety professional, I found the health/safety precautions in patient rooms and during patient interactions were subpar. My Employment health certificate was completed even without Assessment of many of the items requested by the employer. In other words, “give me your money and I will sign your form” Reception and clerical customer service subpar as well. Over all experience was not an experience I ever care to repeat. Will never use again and advise others the same.
