Dr. James Seeds is an accomplished and compassionate surgeon who is board certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine, a certification earned by less than 10% of Orthopedic Surgeons in the United States. He completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the highly acclaimed American Sports Medicine Institute headed by Dr. Lawrence Lemak and Dr. James Andrews. Extensive training enables Dr. Seeds to handle every aspect of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine including the conservative treatment of conditions of the shoulder, knee, ankle, elbow, and wrist using an arthroscope. These minimally invasive procedures allow Dr. Seeds to repair and reconstruct cartilage and ligaments through tiny incisions. For patients, this means minimal time under anesthesia, no hospital stay, reduced pain, and faster recovery.
During his career, Dr. Seeds has served as a Team Physician for sports organizations at all levels. His experience includes covering a multitude of high school, college and professional sports teams including Boston College football, Auburn University football, Erie Otters hockey, NFL Europe, Schaumburg Flyers baseball, Chicago Outlaws lacrosse and Chicago Soul soccer.
A lifelong athlete, Dr. Seeds understands the active lifestyle and a patient’s desire to get back to participating in sports. His first approach is always the most appropriate conservative (non-operative) option. He believes the best results are obtained when the surgeon and patient work together to formulate a recovery plan. He takes the time to explain every option in detail and provides patients with comprehensive information to ensure they understand and feel comfortable with their treatment plan. Most importantly, Dr. Seeds believes the learning process never ends for a surgeon. Therefore, he continues to attend orthopedic conferences and stays involved in academic orthopedics to offer patients the best and most current treatment options.
Great visit. Reassuring. Thank you Dr. Seeds.
Scheduling is always on Time in and out of the office quick very professional
Excellent I like his way of explaining
Great experience
Dr.. Seeds is great. Doesn't sugar coat anything and tell it like it is. We have had several interactions with Fox Valley and would highly recommend Dr. Seeds and this practice.
I believe this man is the best of the best. He’s done two different knee repairs and the results both time were amazing. Low pain after procedure. Feeling great immediately.
I was hoping you had a PCP in the Algonquin offices. Maybe a neck guy. I am on the hunt for a practice that can take care of my 6’ 8” skeleton, knees to C1. I need a PCP who knows war injuries require daily narcotics, like Tylenol 3 and occasionally stronger meds. I am trying to cut the VA out of my orthopedic care. I will try the PT he prescribes.
Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. "A" team
Was an good experiment.
