His bed side manor has declined over the years. When the patient gets news of a life changing medical diagnosis, he needs to be a little more understanding and work with the patient. Not be demanding or controlling. He may have went to school to be a doctor, but the patients feelings, fears, and input should always come first over his "well I'm the Doctor " attitude. And the same goes for his nurse. I've been told by several people that his bedside manners are terrible and that they will no longer see him.

He doesn't just go through the motions. I have fine conversations with him anytime I visit about any concerns I'm having and he addresses them in a well put way. Nice guy all around.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Dana College and his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his Family Practice Residency at the Lincoln Medical Education Foundation in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Dr. Plasek serves on Memorial Hospital's Pathology and Surgical Committee and is trained in performing scope procedures. He provides medical direction for the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation departments. His special areas of interest include Sports Medicine, Adult Medicine, and Cancer Prevention.
Outside of his medical practice, running, cycling, and cross-training keep him fit and busy. He also enjoys motocross, trail riding, and motorcycle restoration.
