Dr. James Nieman is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, has a Sub-specialty certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in Sports Medicine, is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and an active member of the American Society for Sports Medicine. He once served as Orthopedic team physician for Ohio Northern University, Bath High School and Lima Central Catholic High School. Dr. Nieman completed his residency at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York, and attended medical school at the Medical College of Ohio. Graduate of the University of Toledo and Fremont Ross High School. As a past Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Rita’s Medical Center, an active Member of the Ohio Orthopaedic Society, American Medical Association and Rotary Club of Lima, Dr. Nieman strives to give his patients the best care possible.
