Dr Kyle is a fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements and revisions. Dr. Kyle received his fellowship training from Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He earned his medical degree from Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans. Prior to his medical degree, Dr. Kyle was a practicing veterinarian having earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Kyle is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Kyle was very helpful and when I need knee replacement surgery, I would be very comfortable having him do it.

I had my first visit with Dr. James Kyle today for my left knee, which has already been through four surgeries. From the moment he walked in, he was attentive, kind, and genuinely listened to everything I shared—not just about my knee, but also my hip. He administered a cortisone injection during the visit and took the time to explain the next steps, including Iovera injections scheduled for May to help calm the nerve pain that travels down to my knee. Dr. Kyle has a great bedside manner—very down to earth and easy to talk to. I left feeling hopeful and in good hands. I really liked him and would definitely recommend him to anyone dealing with knee or hip issues!
