My best friend fired ICON for "feeling like I'm just part of a herd of cattle-given the LONGGGG wait" I understand his reaction to the intolerable wait caused , not by the staff, but by the bean counters who are unmoved by the loss of patients because ICON is still making lots of money. I absolutely LOVE every person who works in the Grand Junction facility - I now feel like part of the family and SPECIFICALLY due to Dr. Holt will continue my care here [as long as he -or Dr. Tubbs (who did my cataract surgeries and sees me for glaucoma as well) are still working for ICON in GJ. I am a retired Army shrink and (Reserve) Deputy Sheriff who was on the Clinical Faculty of the UC-Irvine medical school, supervising Family Practice residents for a dozen years. Dr. Holt is the consummate practitioner for patient care, all too rare since organized "managed care" has taken over American medical care. If I was still training ANY medical professionals; I would use video tapes of his care of me!!!!

Dr. Holt is very upfront about the dry eye issues & offers easy to understand solutions & options. Obviously he cares about finding relief for his patients & is concerned about keeping costs for treatment reasonable. I am comfortable with his reassuring manner.
