Dr. James Ho is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in hip and knee replacement surgery. Prior to medical training, he obtained a PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley. He attended medical school at UC San Francisco. He completed orthopedic surgery residency at University of Illinois in Chicago, and obtained fellowship subspecialty training in adult reconstructive surgery at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

When not at work, Dr. Ho enjoys running, playing the piano, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Very Professional and caring person. Has answered all my questions and was very clear on how things will go during my knee replacement surgery. I am looking forward to having Dr. Ho and his team do my TKR surgery and am very comfortable with everything that will be involved during and after the operation.
A status check in by someone on the team either on the day of surgery or next day would be comforting.
Had a double knee replacement and it was done to perfection!
Not impressed. Bedside manner was not good. Felt like I was a waste of his time.

Very nice but soft spoken.
He is a great surgeon and gave me ideas for rehab while on my way to recovery after hip surgery.
Really expected him to do the surgery. Really hurt me for several days after the X-ray.
