Dr. James Ho is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in hip and knee replacement surgery. Prior to medical training, he obtained a PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley. He attended medical school at UC San Francisco. He completed orthopedic surgery residency at University of Illinois in Chicago, and obtained fellowship subspecialty training in adult reconstructive surgery at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

When not at work, Dr. Ho enjoys running, playing the piano, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two children.

I feel like the provider wasn't listening to me and that he already made up his mind regarding my case.
Seems highly skilled and is a good listener.
Waited an hour and a half to just be told everything looks fine and if it starts hurting to go to physical therapy, I saw the doctor for no more than maybe five minutes and waited an hour and a half to do so. This could’ve been handled with a phone call.
Business-like. Answered my questions clearly and fully.

I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Ho. I understated that I need a knee replacement, and he gave me a cortisone shot to help me with my pain until that time. Working great. I would recommend Dr. Ho very highly.

This was a preop appointment, Dr had a young person shadowing him, he said she was going to listen to what was being said in the room...I would have preferred something like it's bring your child to work day and this is my daughter who is interested to see what I do all day
