Dr. James Ho is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in hip and knee replacement surgery. Prior to medical training, he obtained a PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley. He attended medical school at UC San Francisco. He completed orthopedic surgery residency at University of Illinois in Chicago, and obtained fellowship subspecialty training in adult reconstructive surgery at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

When not at work, Dr. Ho enjoys running, playing the piano, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two children.

He repaired my torn meniscus and he is such a awesome surgeon and I really appreciated his knowledge and support.
Dr. Ho is very caring, empathetic and great at communication. He answered all my questions about my upcoming surgery with very detailed and clear information.
I feel like the provider wasn't listening to me and that he already made up his mind regarding my case.
Seems highly skilled and is a good listener.
Waited an hour and a half to just be told everything looks fine and if it starts hurting to go to physical therapy, I saw the doctor for no more than maybe five minutes and waited an hour and a half to do so. This could’ve been handled with a phone call.
