Dr. James Ho is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in hip and knee replacement surgery. Prior to medical training, he obtained a PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley. He attended medical school at UC San Francisco. He completed orthopedic surgery residency at University of Illinois in Chicago, and obtained fellowship subspecialty training in adult reconstructive surgery at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

When not at work, Dr. Ho enjoys running, playing the piano, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Very personable, takes time to explain hip problems with radiographs, accommodating, not rushed. Looking forward to having him as my surgeon!
Even though I have only been to Dr Ho’s office once I don’t want to go anywhere else. I have seen many hip surgeons in the rouge valley. Dr Ho was the first to treat me with kindness and understanding and like I matter. He was thourgh and. Knowledgeable. I have to lose several pounds before I can have surgery. But unlike the other surgeons I’ve seen I didn’t feel bad about myself and wasn’t talked down to. Dr Ho treated me like a person and I left his office feeling sure that I could loose the weight. Thank you Dr Ho and your staff!

Maybe he could spend a little more time in conversation and a visit after surgery would have been awesome. But he is an excellent surgeon! Trust him completely!
Very Professional and caring person. Has answered all my questions and was very clear on how things will go during my knee replacement surgery. I am looking forward to having Dr. Ho and his team do my TKR surgery and am very comfortable with everything that will be involved during and after the operation.
A status check in by someone on the team either on the day of surgery or next day would be comforting.
Had a double knee replacement and it was done to perfection!
