Dr. James Ho is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty training in hip and knee replacement surgery. Prior to medical training, he obtained a PhD in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley. He attended medical school at UC San Francisco. He completed orthopedic surgery residency at University of Illinois in Chicago, and obtained fellowship subspecialty training in adult reconstructive surgery at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

When not at work, Dr. Ho enjoys running, playing the piano, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Very pleasant doc. Got an appt. For me with Dr. CABELLO AS IN LOTS OF PAIN AND DIDNT AGREE WITH My Dr. O as to treatment. Much appreciated¡!!
This was a preop appointment, Dr had a young person shadowing him, he said she was going to listen to what was being said in the room...I would have preferred something like it's bring your child to work day and this is my daughter who is interested to see what I do all day

Dr. Ho was abrupt and dismissive. Basically saying I'm a surgeon, this isn't a surgical candidate, why are you here? Because I'd be negligent in the care of my person if I didn't follow through with her caregivers and primary care doctors recommend actions. Dr's like this are why people don't seek necessary treatment. Dismissive and condescending.
Dr. Ho is very professional and did an excellent job on both hip replacements!
He was very friendly. I appreciated that because it makes us feel better when we’re not feeling so good.
