Dr. James Gallentine was born and raised in Broken Bow, Nebraska, and received his undergraduate degree from Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. He continued his schooling in Nebraska, receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. This was followed by an internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital & Clinics in Augusta, Georgia. He went on to complete a Fellowship Training for Surgery of the Foot and Ankle at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. In June 2010, Dr. Gallentine completed a Fellowship Training in Total Joint Replacement focusing on hip and knee replacement, primary and revisions at Wellington Hospital in Wellington, New Zealand.

He examined carefully and asked a lot of questions. Thorough research. He thought it was probably a back issue and not hips. Although hips probably need replaced. He referred me up a different Dr Have to admire a Dr who doesn't just want to do surgery right without exploring all possibilities first. Very nice bedside manner.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience with this orthopedic doctor. He took the time to listen to all of my questions, explained everything thoroughly, and never made me feel rushed. I truly felt heard and cared for. He also gave me a cortisone injection, and I have to say it was the best injection I’ve ever had. I didn’t feel any pain during the injection, and it is already making a noticeable difference. That alone says a lot about his skill and technique. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an orthopedic doctor who is knowledgeable, attentive, compassionate, and genuinely cares about his patients. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
