Great surgeon, I’m about to have my right hip replaced and I know he’s the best cause he did my left hip almost 10 years ago. Absolutely charming and caring doctor.

I went to Jordan Young because I had had a bad experience at Atlantic orthopedic, this doctor was not as nasty he just really acted like I was wasting his time, I'm old I have spinal stenosis I have scoliosis and I get bursitis from time to time in my hip I've been getting it since before it's 2017 yes I was looking for an injection to help with the inflammation I have pain medication that I get from my pain specialist for my lower back however she does not do any type of injections she told me I needed to have something for inflammation, he declined to do that something about giving so many shots that it does something I don't even know I was so upset to the nerve or to the tissue or something well I haven't had a shot in my hip since June of 2025 so it's not like I'm getting them every other week, Then the most painful part is I have a baker's cyst the size of half an orange he also did nothing for that, just made me feel like an old idiot, will never recommend him

I had an excellent experience with Dr Dowd for my knee issue. He took the time to really listen to my concerns, thoroughly explained what was going on, and walked me through all of my treatment options without making me feel rushed or pressured in any direction. I especially appreciated how much time he spent answering my questions and making sure I understood the pros and cons of each choice. It is rare to find a physician who combines such expertise with genuine patience and attentiveness. I left the appointment feeling informed, reassured, and confident about my options. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an orthopedic doctor who truly listens to his patients and involves them in their own care
