James Dorrian, M.D.

Dr. James Dorrian, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology with diverse interests in the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions. Originally a native of Edina, MN, he subsequently attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where he received his undergraduate degree before returning to the Twin Cities for medical school at the University of Minnesota. Upon graduating, he received the Medical Student Achievement Award for his contributions in leadership and academic achievements throughout his four years of medical school. Dr. Dorrian then moved to New York City for his dermatology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, where he earned the Leo M. Davidoff Outstanding Teaching Award for providing dermatology education to others in medical training.

Following completion of his dermatology residency, he continued to work in New York for a period before ultimately returning to his home state of Minnesota. Dr. Dorrian enjoys treating the large variety of potential skin conditions that may arise, and practices both general medical dermatology as well as dermatologic surgery for the treatment of skin cancers.

He also enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with his wife, Gabby, and their Great Pyrenees rescue dog, Luna.
