Dr. James Davidson is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a Subspecialty Certification in Sports Medicine. His special interests include disorders of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Davidson enjoys the innovation and technology that is central to orthopedics and relishes the opportunity to help patients get better and return to their sport, job, and lifestyle. He is a spring training physician for the Chicago White Sox as well as the team orthopedist for numerous local schools. He received his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and he later completed his orthopedic residency and fellowship in sports medicine with the Maricopa Medical Center Department of Surgery in Phoenix. Dr. Davidson is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America as well as the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has published scientific papers and spoken nationally on topics ranging from anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction to arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Dr. Davidson has been recognized by PHOENIX Magazine as a “Top Doc” in both Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

Really a good experience
I'm a new patient of Dr.J Davidson I found him to be very pleasant. He listened to what I had to say, he explained what he could and would do to help me. I appreciated his bedside manner as well as his sense of humor. I'm so grateful that I was referred to him... Thank You Dr. J Davidson

He came into the room asking me if I was thinking of surgery or what? My answer was, you haven't even given me a diagnosis.Do I need surgery? He then proceeded to give me a very brief summary. My shoulder was killing me and I called his office several times trying to get a sooner appointment, but each time was told no.. I think it was three weeks from the date of the m.R I, to when I got in to see him. When I went to him for my original consultation and had x rays, he basically didn't tell me anything.And i'm the one that suggested.Well, maybe I should get an m r I because he wasn't telling me anything, and then he agreed that I could get an m.R I. Very disappointing. He was also having the person in the room with us.Put notes into the computer and I would really love to have those notes because she probably knows a lot more than I do.
