Based in Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Budny is Fellowship trained in Total Joint Replacement, specializing in hip arthroscopy as well as Complex Joint Replacement and Revision Surgery. Before joining the G2 team, Dr. Budny spent two years working at Western Pennsylvania Orthopedics and Sports Medicine located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Dr. Budny completed an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Emory University and an Orthopedic Residency in the Department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at the University of Buffalo in New York.
Dr. Budny has won numerous awards, such as the Ted Papidemetriou Award for Commitment to Teaching in Residency, and a Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award from the Arnold P. Gold Foundation. His writings and research have been published several times, most recently contributing a chapter on the prevention of burns during arthroscopy to a book titled Surgery – Procedures, Complications, and Results.
