Eric Derksen, M.D., received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and completed a general surgery internship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). He finished his medical training with a residency in urology at UNC. During his residency, Dr. Derksen trained extensively in da Vinci robotic surgery and complex laparoscopy. Dr. Derksen graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He worked for a biomedical firm before receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and completed a general surgery internship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). He finished his medical training with a residency in urology at UNC. During his residency, Dr. Derksen trained extensively in da Vinci robotic surgery and complex laparoscopy.
