Dr. Ivan Lee, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon. He received his medical degree from the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship. Dr. Lee completed his ophthalmology residency at the West Virginia University Eye Institute. He then pursued a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University, where he also served as a clinical instructor for ophthalmology residents.

Born in South Korea and raised in Southern California, Dr. Lee earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with High Honors. He received his medical degree from the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, where he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship. Dr. Lee completed his ophthalmology residency at the West Virginia University Eye Institute, where he received the Departmental Highest OKAP Score Award. He then pursued a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at The Ohio State University, where he also served as a clinical instructor for ophthalmology residents. Dr. Lee has earned numerous awards and research grants and is actively involved in clinical research trials. He has authored peer-reviewed scientific publications on surgical outcomes of complex retinal detachment repair, ocular inflammation, ocular tumors, and inherited retinal diseases, and has presented his work at regional, national, and international conferences.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Lee is also an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. Fluent in both English and Korean, he is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Lee enjoys spending time with family and friends, discovering new restaurants, and traveling.
