The doctor was very contradictory when advising us on our baby. His statements often went against what he had previosuly told us just minutes before. He made us feel like our baby could be in danger while our lactation specialist assured us we are right on track. He didnt leave room for many questions and made us feel very stupid. He didnt seem to know the timelines for our baby and even when told, he didnt seem to listen.

While he was very nice and tried to be helpful there was a disconnect when I was trying to explain that I used otc ear wax drops. He asked me if I had any antibiotic ear drops left to use. My son hasn’t had an ear infection in an extremely long time so my only assumption was he thought ear wax drops were antibiotic drops. Then he had the nurse flush my son’s ear to clear the wax that was blocking view of the eardrum. Which took 2 nurses to do. One was too scared to do it properly. Eventually the wax was removed but the Dr tried saying the blue tube was gone. Later on that night I looked only with my cellphone camera and can clearly see the tube. The flush just pushed the tube further back in the ear. I am not a dr, but I don’t know if the flush is the best idea when there is a suspected tube still in the ear. To me that could possibly cause potential damage. But I will find out more when we get to UNC.
