I got an appointment for the next day when I called and was thrilled because it is a holiday weekend and I didn’t want to be in pain!! He was relatively on time, competent, and listened to my issue. He diagnosed my issue but made sure my oncologist agreed with the medication he prescribed. I was my first visit with Dr Fischer but I’m been a longstanding patient at OrthoBethesda for many years.

Dr. Fisch was extremely professional and conscientious about explaining what is going on with my MRI results. He gave me hope and listened to me. Dr. Fisch carefully read the MRI results and asked for a second opinion of a medical colleague to determine my particular complicated case. I was extremely grateful for his medical evaluation today. I would like to continue working with him and his team of medical assistants who were very supportive and professional.

Dr. Fish was brusque & arrogant and forced me to assign a number to my pain when a qualitative description of changing sensations would have better reflected my experience.

A graduate of Queens College and Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Fisch trained in orthopedic surgery at the Montefiore/ Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He received spine training at the Spinecare/ St. Mary’s/ Stanford University Combined Spine Fellowship Program. His areas of special interest include surgery of the cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spine. As a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Fisch is trained in all aspects of spine surgery instrumentation, using anterior and posterior approaches. In addition, he is a leader in state-of-the-art spine injections, which frequently enable patients to avoid surgery.
