For his academic excellence, he was awarded the Gold Medal for Best Graduate and the Gold Medal for 1st Position from the University of Sindh. Dr. Lal completed his Internal Medicine residency at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center in Karachi, Pakistan, and a second residency at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY. During his time at St. Barnabas Hospital, he was named "Resident of the Year" for both Excellence in Medical Knowledge and Professionalism.
Dr. Lal further specialized his training by completing a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the University of Vermont Medical Center. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).
During his time away from work, Dr. Lal enjoys spending time with his two daughters, shopping, and exploring restaurants to try new foods.
