Dr. Illena Antonetti, M.D. grew up in Lockhart, Florida. She is a graduate of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where she graduated with general honors, double majored in Microbiology and Immunology, and triple minored in Chemistry, Psychology, and Spanish. Dr. Antonetti attended medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York, where she benefited from the school’s focus on the biopsychosocial model of patient-focused, humanistic medical care. She has published numerous articles and book chapters on hypertension, women’s heart health, and adult congenital coronary disease.
