Dr. Jackson’s office seems to have issues with submitting the correct paperwork for imaging and scheduled procedures. Recently my follow-up appointments have been with an assistant named Larry. I don’t think Dr. Jackson looked at an MRI of my back after a fall in which the center of my back hit the edge of a stair. This occurred about 5 or 6 weeks ago. My physical therapist suggested that I go to Urgent Care to make sure I didn’t have a compression fracture. I went right after my PT appointment. They did an X-ray. I saw Larry in a follow up visit. I only found out last week that I had in fact had a compression fracture at L1. Neither Larry nor Dr. Jackson told me about it. It showed up on a more recent MRI.
Dr. Jackson doesn’t have a good “bedside manner.” He is hard to talk to. When I actually saw him last week I felt bullied into agreeing to get an epidural shot for lower back pain. The day before the scheduled procedure the nurse called to say my insurance declined it. Frustrating.
