Dr. Himanshu Shukla, MD, FACC

Himanshu H. Shukla, M.D. is a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist with a distinguished career in cardiovascular health. After practicing for over 15 years in Mesa, Arizona, Dr. Shukla has now relocated to Florida to join the Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida. His extensive experience in electrophysiology and cardiovascular care will further enhance the services offered at CVI.

Throughout his career, Dr. Shukla has been recognized for his expertise in the development of office-based labs, vascular programs, and protocols for optimizing patient outcomes. He has collaborated with national industry leaders on cardiovascular advancements and has successfully established strategies for improving financial and clinical performance in healthcare practices.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Shukla has served as a consultant for leading medical device companies such as St. Jude Medical, Abbott, and Boston Scientific. He also contributed to the development of international cardiovascular programs, including the launch of a program in the Turks and Caicos with Interhealth Canada. His leadership has extended to medical directorships at several institutions, including the Atrial Fibrillation Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Cardiovascular Director at Mountain Vista Medical Center.

Dr. Shukla earned his medical degree magna cum laude from Universidad Iberoamericana and completed advanced fellowships in interventional cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular medicine. He has authored numerous publications in esteemed journals, contributed to clinical research, and continues to educate future healthcare providers as an associate clinical professor.

Fluent in Spanish and Gujarati, Dr. Shukla is also committed to community service, having founded the Heartcare Foundation and donated numerous Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to local schools. He brings his passion for innovative cardiovascular care to his new role at the Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida, where he will continue to focus on improving patient care and outcomes.
