Dr. Malcarney is a top notch surgeon! My first shoulder’s rehab went so well I traveled from two states away, six years later, for her care on my fellow shoulder. Her honest, and direct communication is my preferred style. I highly recommend her, and her team’s care to anyone needing a shoulder evaluation. This recommendation is also for Shana Fearnley, PA who has given me equally competent and compassionate care over the years.

I'm an RN. I've worked surgical services in Reno since 2017. As expected, meeting with Dr Malcarney, and planning a surgery/recovery was a great experience.

Showed for my appointment 15 minutes early as I was instructed. Was escorted to an exam room and waited there for almost 40 minutes. Nobody came in and said the doctor was running late or checked on me. This is the second appointment I have had. The first one I was required to see the PA prior to seeing the doctor, which is new to me. I have always been able to see the Dr. instead of a PA if I’ve asked to. That appointment was fine. I was disappointed the second time because the sole purpose of appointment was to speak with the doctor. There is no excuse for somebody at least not coming in and letting me know that the doctor is running late. There is no excuse to have to wait for longer than 15-20 minutes for a scheduled appointment My time is valuable also and the fact that I took time off of work to make this appointment; very disappointing.
