My procedure had to be postponed because of BP issue. It has since been remedied and will arrange for a new date for the surgery. I appreciated the Doctor and nurse who stop procedure until my BP back to normal.

He is so professional and very kind. Great bedside manner. I was awake for my procedure and could hear how nice he was to his support staff. That isn’t always the case. (I have worked in a hospital). I have already recommended him to a friend.

This man is incredible. Not only is he a brilliant diagnostician, but he a consummate artist as well. He replaced the majority of my left lower eyelid with a piece of my arm that used to sculpture a new eyelid. No one can tell that he made the eyelid. This man needs to be cloned!

Dr. Glatt has specialized training and extensive experience in performing cosmetic and functional blepharoplasty for excess upper lid skin and ptosis surgery for drooping upper eyelids, combining thoughtful assessment of the potential effect of upper lid surgery on the health of the eye, selection of the most appropriate surgical procedure or procedures and meticulous performance of the surgery. He performs surgery to correct lower lid abnormalites, such as lids that roll in (entropion), lids that roll out (ectropion) and lids that are pulled downward (retraction).
He has spent decades caring for patients with eyelid skin cancers that require surgical removal and subsequent eyelid reconstruction that often requires unique techniques specific to the eyelid. He removes benign eyelid lesions, such as moles, cysts and skin tags. Dr. Glatt performs tear duct surgery to help patients who suffer from tearing and/or infections due to blocked tear ducts. He cares for patients who require removal of blind eyes to relieve pain and of eyes afflicted with cancer.
Surgery is performed at the University of Tennessee Medical Center-Knoxville and at the Tennessee Valley Eye Center. Great care is taken to ensure patient comfort and safety with the vast majority of cases performed under sedation or general anesthesia administered by the team of a nurse anesthetist and an MD anesthesiologist.
Dr. Glatt examines patients at the University of Tennessee Medical Center and the Tennessee Valley Eye Center.
Dr. Glatt graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. When University Eye Specialists sought a surgeon with specialized training in Oculoplastic Surgery to care for the patients of East Tennessee, Dr. Glatt and his wife welcomed the opportunity to live, work, and raise their family in Knoxville.
While watching his sons grow up in Knoxville’s wonderful swim culture (and later become collegiate swimmers), Dr. Glatt took up the sport himself, although at a considerably slower pace, and enjoys swimming at the University of Tennessee Aquatic Center. He and his wife Lynn enjoy hiking in East Tennessee and America’s National Parks.
