Dr. Henry Shin, M.D., earned his medical degree at Stanford Medical School, and completed his residency at the University of California San Francisco. He then finished his fellowship in advanced cardiology and echocardiography at the same institution. A board-certified cardiologist and Harvard graduate, Dr. Shin specializes in congestive heart failure and resistant hypertension management. Joining Heart Care Centers of Illinois in 1998, he utilizes his clinical expertise to serve as the Director of the Hypertension Clinic.

Dr. Henry Shin, M.D., graduated from Harvard University magna cum laude. He received his MD from Stanford Medical School. Dr. Shin completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at the University of California San Francisco.
He subsequently completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of California San Francisco where he also completed a year of training in echocardiography. Dr. Shin specializes in echocardiography and hypertension treatment. He also has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of patients with congestive heart failure.
Dr. Shin is Board Certified in internal medicine and cardiology. He is a testamur of the American Board of Echocardiography subspecialty examination. He has received the Hewlett-Packard Teaching Award in 1997. He has been honored with the American Heart Association Heartsaver Award in 2000.
