Dr. Bloom has been taking care of my hand issues for the last couple of years. In every interaction that I have had with her; he compassionate caring bedside manner has been exemplary. I have been really pleased at how she has given me the time and listens to my concerns. She genuinely cares about my progress in recovery and shows that through the genuine compassionate expressions physically and her recommendations for continued recovery. I appreciate her very much.

Disapointed that owing to her need for shoulder surgery she will not be able to perform my carpal tunnel procedure and that it will be delayed and done by a surgeon entirerly new to me.

Dr. Bloom seemed to be in a hurry. Maybe a not too engrossing appointment -- a guy presenting with a complaint that didn't seem to make sense -- in a super-busy day? I have a chronic pain on the medial aspect of my lower forearm/wrist. She said there should not be a pain in that location -- which she explained is a sort of void between a nerve and a ligament running through the forearm. She ordered an x-ray. It wasn't helpful. She seemed to be at a loss. Kept telling me there was "nothing there." I assured her it was the quite specific place it's hurt for a long time. She offered an MRI (I declined) and suggested an OTC topical anesthetic. Some doctors impress me as keenly interested in a patient's symptoms and condition, almost like detectives relishing a challenge, especially if the symptoms are a bit obscure. Dr. Bloom didn't seem fit this category. She was courteous and businesslike, but I may have felt a bit dismissed.

Great expertise in surgical repair of my hand following traumatic injury. But also down to earth, and communicated all the possible outcomes. Her level of compassion should be a model for all health care providers.

Didn't get any results sending me to another doctor

If you use this doctor, make sure you tell Her specifically what medication allergies you have. I had carpal tunnel release done on a Friday afternoon and she sent me home with a prescription for pain medication that I am allergic to. Not only was it all over my files and paperwork, but it was on my wrist band. I spent the entire weekend in pain without any ability to get out of pain. At my post-op appointment, all I was given was "I'm sorry". Apologies help, but don't take away from her colossal screw up.

I’m incredibly frustrated with the timeliness and follow through of this practice. If the doctor states they will order advanced imaging, it should not take a week (of patient follow up) just to make sure that the order and referral have been properly placed, and more for changes to be made because the referred office can not complete the order prescribed. It seems like the front end staff of SO ortho are unable to interact with the medical staff - instead just repeating things are ‘in process’.

Could not ask for a better surgeron, just hope my problem was carpal tunnel, and not the neuropathy that is affecting both of my hands, and my feet. Only time will tell!

I appreciate her honesty as well as her professional skill. When something is going to hurt she says so not this, "there's going to be a little pinch." She told me my knuckle was going to feel like it is going to explode with the shot. She was absolutely right, but it was necessary to fix the problem. She is outstanding.

She really didn't tell me what was wrong with my Wrist all she did was talk medical terminology. Gave me a shot and sent me on my way never told me what was wrong with my wrist. failed to tell me I would be in so much pain I couldn't move my fingers
