Dr. Hasan Bader is an Interventional Endoscopist at Rockford Gastroenterology Associates. Dr. Bader is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. His journey began when he was admitted to the highly selective 6-year accelerated combined undergraduate and medical school program at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where he was Chief Fellow. Dr. Bader has achieved the honor of induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, a testament to his dedication to providing humanistic and patient-centered care. His aptitude for teaching was recognized when he received the Medical College of Wisconsin Outstanding Medical Student Teacher award. During his Gastroenterology fellowship, he was elected to the House Staff Council and was part of the School of Medicine Coordinating Committee. Dr. Bader has presented his research at national conferences including Digestive Diseases Week. He has been invited to present at both national and international meetings.

He has served on the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Health and Public Policy Committee advocating for patients on a national level. Dr. Bader has a broad interest in digestive diseases and endoscopy, with special interests in biliary disease, pancreatic disease, complex polyp resection, and Barrett’s esophagus. He has advanced training in therapeutic endoscopy including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) with fine needle aspiration/biopsy (FNA/FNB), cholangioscopy with electrohydraulic lithotripsy (EHL), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), enteral stenting, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), and endoscopic cystogastrostomy.
Dr. Bader is an active member of the medical staff at UW Health Rockford Hospital and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.
