His aptitude for teaching was recognized when he received the Medical College of Wisconsin Outstanding Medical Student Teacher award. During his Gastroenterology fellowship, he was elected to the House Staff Council and was part of the School of Medicine Coordinating Committee. He was also selected nationwide to the American Gastroenterology Association’s Innovation Fellow cohort. Dr. Bader has presented his research at national conferences including Digestive Diseases Week. He has been invited to present at both national and international meetings.
He remains deeply committed to patient advocacy, medical education, and community outreach. He has served on the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Health and Public Policy Committee advocating for patients on a national level. He serves on the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Training Committee. He is also a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and American College of Physicians (ACP).
Dr. Bader has a broad interest in digestive diseases and endoscopy, with special interests in biliary disease, pancreatic disease, complex polyp resection, and Barrett’s esophagus. He has advanced training in therapeutic endoscopy including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) with fine needle aspiration/biopsy (FNA/FNB), cholangioscopy with electrohydraulic lithotripsy (EHL), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), enteral stenting, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), and endoscopic cystogastrostomy.
Dr. Bader is an active member of the medical staff at UW Health Rockford Hospital and OSF St. Anthony Medical Center.
