Dr. Dao received his medical degree from University of Carabobo, in Valencia Venezuela. After a year-long internship in an undeserved area, he started General Surgery residency at Hospital Miguel Perez Carreno, one of the busiest academic canters in Caracas. He then relocated to the Unites States and joined St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, where he completed General Surgery residency, followed by a fellowship in Colon and Rectal surgery at Brown University in Providence, RI.

After his training, Dr. Dao worked as a colorectal surgeon at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center until 2016. He then joined the University of Texas Health San Antonio (UTHSCSA) where he worked for the next 8 years and achieved Associate Professor of Surgery. Dr. Dao is available for consultation in McAllen, Harlingen, and Brownsville.
