Dr Bragdon was direct and specific about my issues. We discussed options going forward and when queried, she provided steroid shots to three areas only hand . She proceeded to to discuss the efficacy of the shots and the actions we could take if they did not provide relief. Her demeanor was collegeal and made me feel that no matter what there was a specific evolution to solve my issue and retrieve my quality of life. Bravo, as she exceeded her already high reputation.

What a difference a smile makes! When Dr Bragdon entered the exam room, she made eye contact, smiled, and warmly greeted me before beginning her interview. Being acknowledged as a person, as more than a case number, relaxed me and inspired trust that my well-being was of importance to this doctor. Her physical exam was thorough, yet respectful of my pain and anxiety. She graciously used layman’s terminology throughout the exam, asked questions, commented, detailed possible medical interventions, the predicted recovery, and anticipated results. Because my mind had been so successfully distracted from my pain and anxiety, I believe she obtained the most unbiased, unfiltered, accurate,1st hand exam possible. I felt both seen and heard, an informed participant in choices, processes, and healing. Dr Bragdon, a notably superlative physician, also practices communication skills that demonstrate caring and inspire trust. We need more physicians like Dr Gwynn Bragdon!

Attitude of disregard. Talk the patient’s concern away and recommend taking an ibuprofen. Do the bare minimum and abandon care by default. What was the point of the chain of referrals?
