Dr. Grigoriy Rapoport, M.D. is originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, he moved to Dallas, Texas as a child and went on to receive his undergraduate degree in International Studies from Southern Methodist University. He received his medical training from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine and completed his pre-internship program with New York Medical College. He then joined the inaugural class of the internal medicine residency program with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance and served as Chief Resident during his third year of training. He subsequently worked as assistant professor of medicine for one year and joined the inaugural class of the gastroenterology fellowship program with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.
During his residency and fellowship training Dr. Rapoport received several awards, including outstanding PGY-3 award and participated in numerous studies and presentations in national conferences. He is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and the American Medical Association (AMA). His interests include endoscopic management of benign gastrointestinal conditions, inflammatory bowel disease, nutrition, fatty liver, liver cirrhosis, and HCC screening. He speaks English, Spanish and Russian. He is excited to live in Florida with his wife and two boys and looks forward to serving the community.
