Specializing in the reconstruction of complex peri-articular, pelvic and poly-traumatic injuries, Dr. Heigle is a staff surgeon with the Orthopedic Trauma Service. This division of the Florida Orthopaedic Institute is committed to providing world class care to patients in our community with severe musculoskeletal injuries. This multidisciplinary team prides itself on ensuring patients receive excellent care on each step on their road to recovery.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Heigle enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing golf and watching college football.

Have only seen doctor once but am impressed at how organized the office and friendly staff were. Doctor saw us promptly. Appreciate that Dr. Heigle is taking a conservative approach to treat my husband’s fractured hip rather than jumping to surgery.
The doctor was great. Answered all our questions, compassionate very happy with him. I can’t say the same for the receptionist that handed out the iPads for us to fill out, especially when we had all the information that encompass gave that they needed on the iPad and the receptionist did not take the time to even look at it. My wife was in pain. Our appointment was for 930. My wife was drugged up with painkillers and I am blind and have difficulty with the iPad. I talk to the receptionist for help and the office manager and they said well that’s the way it is With the iPad. If you’re gonna use the iPad make some of the questions a little simpler, I asked some of the other patients what they thought of the iPad and they felt the same way I did. It’s a nuisance and about 50% unnecessary you guys are getting like the government or you’re getting corporatized.. I noticed most of the people in the waiting area were fairly elderly. I would get a few ninth graders in there to answer all the
