My First visit, Dr Gebauer went over MRI, pulled up cervical spine pictures and was very thorough explaining my options. He did not try to sway me one way or another. I highly recommend him. Also, his staff was very professional as well👍

He was personable, barely acknowledged me especially when he determined I did not need surgery. Jumped right to treatments but did not explain pros and cons of each. Very disappointed .

Really wish you could get an appt sooner than 6 weeks wait. I realize you have no control.

Dr. Gebauer reviewed my MRI imaging and provided explanation for cause of symptoms and options for treatment to get relief in a much appreciated and efficient visit.

He does not do the type of operation L need to straighten/repair my neck and he only knew one MD who might have. He didn't tell me what I should say to find that type of surgeon.

I don’t like an hour wait but also understand that stuff happens.

Did not introduce himself. Did not mention my name once. Came in and started by saying " so I hear you did not get relief from the injection". Period. Not one word of caring, concern, or comfort. Last time I waited over 1 hour to see him. And he saw his mother-in-law about a social obligation before me. In the meantime I was left half naked in an uncomfortable position in a freezing room while he talked to his relative. Seemed like he rushed and plunged the medicine into my spine like he was in a rush to get home as I was his last patient. Do not plan to return to him.

In 2012, Dr. Gebauer performed an ALIF spinal fusion including the placement of a (spacer) cage to separate two vertebrae. Another orthopedic surgeon had told me that wasn’t possible because there was “not enough space” between the vertabrae (i.e. bone-on-bone). After the surgery, which DID include the spacer cage, I was able to decrease my pain medication and have not had to increase since. Dr. Gebauer had told me that sometimes patients need a second surgery down the road. I am getting older and having more pain with arthritis. So far, I have not needed a second surgery, but if I ever do I would certainly choose Dr. Bauer again. I would definitely recommend him to others. The only reason for four stars and not five is because they do not take Medicaid, and typically they do not allow out-of-pocket payment.

I just feel what he says contradicts what the radiologist said. I know that we're going to take levels that can help resolve the pain but I've been dealing with this for 16 years and I'm tired of it, I want real answers already. I dfi understand that he's just saw me so I will give it a little bit of time but I don't know how much time I truly will give it cuz I need answers. I'm in so much pain and now I have to wait another three weeks till I can get some injections I'm not very happy.

I feared I would need lumbar spinal surgery. Dr Gebauer diagnosed a basically healthy spine based on my MRI and pointed to physical therapy and injections to alleviate pain caused by inflamed bursars. What a wonderful consultation??

The wait was long. I have a very severe hearing problem even with hearing aids. My wife who helps me with sign language was not able to go back with me , Even after I explained everything to the nurse and the front staff it didn't matter so I understood little of what the doctor said to me. But basically he could do nothing for me. Very poor when dealing with people and handicaps

Girl at the counter was rude and snippy. Never told me they required a mask and never called to confirm my appointment so how could I know that. She found one for a lady and the rest of us were out of luck. They are hard to come by and for what they are being paid for my visit I think they could provide one.

I don't feel like he took the time to look at prior Imaging. Not his fault but the prescription was faxed over and the girl confirmed it with me but it was not there at the pharmacy.

I am so happy I had Dr. Gebauer for my spinal surgery. I have had other fusions done by other surgeons, that were less complicated.They left me in severe pain for several months. It has been 6 weeks and I am doing great. Bless this man.
