Dr. Verdugo was friendly and professional. He was hurried, though. And while my “condition” did not require a lot of attention, I wish he had taken the time to explain some particulars of the test results.

Dr. Verdugo is arrogant and doesn’t care to answer questions. He answers questions as if the answer should be obvious- but not everyone attends medical school so patients rely on him to explain, compassionately, what is going on and make recommendations on how to proceed. We need a new doctor because he is just looking for patients to perform quick easy surgery on so he gets paid.

Dr. Gonzalo Verdugo, M.D., has been a practicing board-certified Otolaryngologist with North Shore Ear, Nose and Throat Associates since 2012. Verdugo has been a practicing Otolaryngologist since 2002 and practiced in San Diego for eight years prior to joining North Shore ENT.
Dr. Verdugo received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in 1992 and graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1997 with distinction in research. He was also a member of the school’s Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his General Surgical Internship and his Otolaryngology residency at Los Angeles County Medical Center/University of Southern California in 2002 and received his board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 2003.
Dr. Verdugo is interested in disorders of the ear and salivary glands as well as the medical and surgical treatment of chronic sinusitis. He sees patients of all ages and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Verdugo grew up in Massachusetts and is a graduate of Lexington High School. He returned to the area to be closer to his family.
