Dr. Gonzalo Verdugo, M.D., has been a practicing board-certified Otolaryngologist with North Shore Ear, Nose and Throat Associates since 2012. Verdugo has been a practicing Otolaryngologist since 2002 and practiced in San Diego for eight years prior to joining North Shore ENT.
Dr. Verdugo received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in 1992 and graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1997 with distinction in research. He was also a member of the school’s Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his General Surgical Internship and his Otolaryngology residency at Los Angeles County Medical Center/University of Southern California in 2002 and received his board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 2003.
Dr. Verdugo is interested in disorders of the ear and salivary glands as well as the medical and surgical treatment of chronic sinusitis. He sees patients of all ages and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Verdugo grew up in Massachusetts and is a graduate of Lexington High School. He returned to the area to be closer to his family.

Was very patient listen to what I had to say. Did not rush me. Took his time to explain what was happening to my voices.
Very helpful. Explained what was going on very easily. I appreciated his insight and his manner.
The visit felt rushed and insensitive. I was anxious about the procedure, but the doctor did not explain what he was doing or warn me before spraying a numbing solution into my nose, which made me gag. He spoke quickly and did not clearly explain why I needed another biopsy at the same place as before. I left feeling uncomfortable and confused about the plan.
Dr. Verdugo is the greatest!!! Look no further!!!
