My first visit with Dr Pham, but very thorough and nothing painful!!
Dr Pham was so gracious and lovely, she introduced herself and asked appropriate questions regarding surgery. She very professionally examined my eye, explained her findings and answered my questions. I couldn’t have asked for a better substitute for my out-of-town MD follow-up. Thank you Dr Pham!
Dr. Pham asked if I wanted to discuss cataract surgery for this year or put it off another year. I told her I was shocked because Dr. Frazee had told me that I would never require cataract surgery. Her response was, "if you live long enough, everyone will require it." In fact, Dr. Passmore never mentioned it last year nor has Dr. Ngo suggested it. According to Dr. Frazee, my cataracts are so small and slow growing that he did not consider them an issue. A little more explanation about the status of the cataracts and why surgery was being brought up at this time would have been greatly appreciated. Also, I stated that my right eye frequently throbs, and I treat this with a warm compress.. She asked if it helps, and I said yes. She said I have somewhat clogged pores and to continue the warm compresses. Again, I think this was a missed opportunity for patient education. I feel that she could have been more proactive and more concerned about my overall eye health.
