Dr Edwards operated on both of my daughters thumbs (trigger thumb) when she only 3 years old. Since then we have moved to Goldsboro. However, I was so impressed with Dr Edwards that now 5 years later I chose to drive all the way back to Raleigh to see him for my wrist is. Wonderful and courteous professional!

My appointment with Dr. Edwards III was perfect in every way possible. Let me explain. My actual scheduled appointment was a follow up with Dr. Schricker, of whom I have very high regards. I had a MRI in Nov. & was instructed by Dr. Schricker to make a follow up & bring the MRI disc with to that appointment. I gave his nurse the disc & advised her that he wanted it for his review. Well, before he even came in to see me he'd already consulted with and arranged for me to see one of his colleagues, Dr. Edwards III, directly after my appointment with him. What was especially great is that he is in the same clinic just down the hall. After Dr. Edwards examine the area that the MRI was for & I answered his questions- he took his time explaining to me while showing me on a medical chart in the exam room what was causing my symptoms & talked about causes, treatment options etc, He was professional, approachable, caring and respectful, He made me feel like I was his only patient for the day!

I requested an appointment and they were able to schedule my son quickly. Dr. Edwards diagnosed the issue and quickly offered us a solution that works.

If you have a hand, arm, or shoulder issue, I hope you are fortunate enough to find yourself under the care of Dr. Edwards. Dr. Edwards, I truly believe, saved me from losing my right arm 3 years ago after a less skilled surgeon made a torn rotator cuff injury much worse. He also managed to repair a 25-year-old shoulder/arm fracture that had plagued me with daily pain since the initial fracture. I was told at the time that it couldn't be repaired. Imagine being in pain every day for 25 years, and suddenly having it vanish! He is now caring for my arthritic hands. I was very discouraged after another doctor told me I had such a degree of arthritis in my hands, I needed thunb joint replacements. He told me to return to Dr. Edwards. Of course, I did. But Dr. Edwards thinks things can be managed with cortisone injections, at least for the foreseeable future! What a relief! Needless to say, I am eternally grateful and beyond fortunate to have Dr. Edwards caring for me!

I really appreciate that he gave me good advice and not just what would bring more money into the practice!

I had a list of 20 questions. He covered many of them before I even asked and very thoroughly answered the remaining ones giving me time to digest his responses before moving on. I didn't feel as though Dr Edwards was really listening to me, as though he had something else on his mind. He indicated I may have TOS but didn't say which type and didn't offer much input whatsoever. I appreciate his input, but I felt he was "brushing me off" and rushing me, especially when he heard I was already going to PT somewhere else. I don't think I'll be back if/when I have further concerns. I'm not even sure why I had a Co-Pay since he didn't do anything whatsoever.

Dr Edwards III takes the time to really dial down his patients. Dr Edwards III is an Awesome Doctor. I have always trusted his treatment plans and I leave feeling like he actually cares.

Only negative thing was waiting in the exam room for 45 minutes before seeing the Dr.! He did apologize for the wait.
