Extremely knowledgeable, like his father with whom I treated with before he retired. Dr. Edwards provided a clear diagnosis and was patient with me as I went over his recommendations to make sure I fully understood the treatment plan. I am confident with the care of my hands being placed with Dr. Edwards. Highly recommend!

First time visiting. I must say, I was very impressed by Dr.Edwards and staff. Very professional. More than anything, I was astounded that Dr. Edward's spoke, listened and answered all of my questions with respect. I was not a robot, I was a human being and truthfully, I have not had this type of interaction from Specialist in a long time. Many have been very condensing, ignored my concerns and appeared to be extremely arrogant. Dr. Edward's nor his staff treated me this way. Hands down a wonderful experience! Would recommend them any day of the week!

Dr. George Edwards, III is a native of Raleigh and completed medical school and orthopedic surgery residency at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill. He completed a hand and upper extremity fellowship at the University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Edwards is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and hand surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He received the Subspecialty Certificate in Hand Surgery and is a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the Joseph H. Boyes Hand Surgery Society. He is married and has two children. Outside of work, Dr. Edwards enjoys the outdoors including fly fishing, cycling and running. He also enjoys playing the guitar and mandolin.
