Dr Canizares is a wonderful MD, however, after 2-3 visits for severe back pain and rt leg pain, spanning over 2 months, I have to wait for a back pain MD! I can’t walk, sit or sleep without pain! An appointment to read my MRI was rediculous as it did nothing for my current condition!!

Dr. Canizares was selected to the NFL Neutral Physician Examiners Panel and served as the team doctor for the Miami Heat and Miami Sol. He is currently the Tampa Bay Rowdies team physician.
Dr. Canizares was instrumental in the development of the sports medicine program at All Florida Orthopaedic Associates and serves as the head team physician for multiple Pinellas County high schools and Eckerd college. He has also traveled with several professional sports teams as the team physician.
Outside of work, Dr. Canizares enjoys skiing, pickleball and family time.
