Upon completion of his orthopedic training he was awarded a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. While there, he served as an assistant team physician for the United States Olympic Ski, Snowboard and Speed Skating teams. Dr. DeMorat is board certified and specializes in general orthopedic surgery, arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine. Dr. DeMorat is a Board Member of the New Jersey Orthopedic Society and is the Medical Director of the Medical Advisory Board of Jersey Shore Ambulatory Surgical Center. He is an orthopedic consultant for Richard Stockton College and a former team physician for the Atlantic City Surf Professional Baseball team. He is currently a team physician for Atlantic City High School and Mainland Regional High School athletic departments. His present major areas of clinical interest include arthroscopic shoulder and knee procedures, including rotator cuff and labral repairs in the shoulder and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions in the knee. Dr. DeMorat, his wife and their four children reside in Linwood and are very active in the community. In his spare time he enjoys going to the beach with the family, biking with the kids and coaching his son’s youth football and baseball teams.
