Dr. Walker’s approach to the practice of medicine leaves much to be desired. Dr. Walker requires significant training in terms of bedside manner and patient experience. It is my strong recommendation he be regularly monitored and observed by a more senior attending physician so that he may receive the medical training that was clearly absent during his residency. He is more concerned with trivial and frivolous billing matters than he is with providing good care and has no conception of good bedside conduct. While I do appreciate his concern for cost, he should be aware of a patient’s insurance. A patient such as myself with high quality PPO insurance through a state employer has little concern over the cost of a simple A1C test, something that was of grave concern to him (market value without insurance is roughly $10-$20. Insurance covered it in full).

He was very kind and supportive. Gave advice and was thorough in his feedback.

I liked him. He listened to me and we made agreements in the direction we would work on my BP issues. We didn't get a chance to discuss my nose bleeds, but if it persists, I will revisit.
