Dr. Garabedian earned his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine, where he was named to the Dean’s List. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ, serving as Former Chief Resident during his final year —a distinction awarded only to a few per class, based on academic excellence and leadership skills. During his residency he received the PGY2 Michael Katz MD Award, presented in recognition of compassion, kindness, and integrity in patient care.
After residency, Dr. Garabedian spent years in community health at Community Health Connections in Fitchburg, MA, followed by positions at Waltham Medical Group and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, including a volunteer hospitalist assignment during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. He subsequently joined Community Medical Associates in North Andover, MA (affiliated with Merrimack Health Lawrence), where he founded the Medical Weight Management program and led it as a Medical Director.
Today, as a co-founder of Garabedian Pioneer Health, Dr. Garabedian focuses on what he is most passionate about: truly knowing his patients, preventing illness before it begins, and providing the unhurried, personalized attention that patients deserve. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, obesity medicine, cardiovascular prevention, and the comprehensive management of chronic disease.
Dr. Garabedian is board certified in Internal Medicine and holds certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM). He speaks English, French, and Armenian fluently.
In his spare time, Dr Garabedian loves to spend time with his wife and four children. As a self-taught piano player, he composes songs and leads worship at his church.
