Dr. Rau is a great ophthalmologist. He spoke to my son who is 3 years old calmly and treated him with care while checking my son’s eyes. He was also courteous to me, the mom as well. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rau to treat young children.

This office has been a great experience in the six years I’ve taken my elderly mother. Dr. Modi and Rau have excellent bedside manners, are thorough, explain everything and do not rush you. Highly recommend them!

Always professional service
I am giving this office one star because of how my insurance and copay were handled. When I scheduled my appointment for annual eye exams for myself and my daughter, no one mentioned that I would have a specialist copay. The office even called several times to confirm my appointment, and when I checked in they verified my insurance without saying anything about additional charges. The technician and the doctor were both excellent, kind, and professional. My only complaint is about the checkout process. After the visit was over, I was told that I had to pay a copay because this office is considered a specialist rather than an optometrist. If I had been informed beforehand, I could have chosen a provider covered by my insurance for a routine annual exam. What disappointed me most was that the checkout receptionist ignored my concerns, offered no real explanation, and showed very poor customer service. I believe patients should always be informed of any copay before their appoint
