Gail Gerber, MD, FACOG

Dr. Gail Gerber is a highly experienced, board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has been caring for women in Hoffman Estates since 1987. With decades of clinical experience, she is known for her compassionate approach, clinical excellence, and long-standing relationships with her patients, many of whom she has cared for across generations.

Dr. Gerber earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago in 1983 and completed her residency training at the University of Illinois Hospitals in Chicago in 1987. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and became a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 1989. She is currently on staff at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

Dr. Gerber enjoys taking care of her patients’ obstetrical and gynecological needs. She has a special interest in operative hysteroscopy, endometrial ablations and delivering “Gerber babies”. Her philosophy centers on treating every patient with the utmost dignity, respect, and individualized care.

Her dedication to women’s health has been widely recognized. Dr. Gerber has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and has received Patient’s Choice Awards and Compassionate Doctor Recognition Awards many years. She was voted a Top 10 Doctor in Hoffman Estates and has been recognized by Chicago Magazine as a “Top Doctor for Women’s Health” in 2019, 2021 and 2022.

In her free time, Dr. Gerber loves spending time and traveling with her husband and two lovely daughters. She also enjoys playing the piano, gardening, baking, playing Scrabble, and cheering on her beloved Chicago Cubs.
