G. Jeffrey Popham, M.D.

Dr. G. Jeffrey Popham, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, specializes in anterior approach total hip replacement, partial and total knee replacements, shoulder arthroscopy and reconstruction, and joint preservation through advanced biologic treatments such as PRP and stem cell therapy. Since joining Ellis & Badenhausen Orthopaedics in 2003, Dr. Popham has been a leader in orthopedic research, being the only physician in the practice to utilize platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) for regenerative medicine. He has also served as a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and as a team physician for the University of Louisville Men’s Tennis team.

Dr. Popham is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, and the Kentucky Medical Association. He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Louisville and his general surgical internship and orthopedic residency at Tulane University.
