Frederick Jaecklein, MD

Dr. Frederick Jaecklein, M.D., is board certified in General Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He specializes in the treatment of peripheral vascular, aortic vascular, and cerebrovascular diseases, utilizing both traditional open surgical techniques and minimally invasive endovascular approaches to deliver comprehensive care for conditions affecting the blood vessels throughout the body.

Dr. Jaecklein earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a renowned institution with a long tradition of training skilled surgeons. He subsequently completed his internship and residency at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he developed a strong foundation in surgical care across a diverse patient population. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in vascular and endovascular surgery at the Detroit Medical Center, further refining his skills across the full spectrum of vascular interventions.

Dr. Jaecklein’s comprehensive training in both open and endovascular techniques positions him to offer patients multiple treatment options tailored to their specific condition, anatomy, and goals of care. His approach emphasizes delivering the most effective outcome with as minimally invasive a method as possible.

Dr. Jaecklein will be joining the Vascular and Vein Center in July, where he will be primarily based at the Murrells Inlet location. He may also see patients at select Charleston area offices during his initial transition, bringing his expertise in peripheral vascular, aortic, and cerebrovascular surgery to patients throughout the region.
