Fred W. Ortmann IV, MD

Dr. Fred W. Ortmann IV, M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand & upper extremity surgery. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of the upper extremity focusing on the hand, wrist, and elbow. In his practice, he predominantly cares for patients with injuries/conditions involving the upper extremity including, fractures, lacerations, tendon & nerve injuries, arthritis, as well as sports and work injuries. Dr. Ortmann enjoys caring for patients of all ages.

Dr. Ortmann strives to deliver patient-centered care by encouraging his patients to be actively involved in their medical care. After meeting with and listening to his patients, Dr. Ortmann develops a treatment plan to reflect the patient’s individual needs and values. He sees each patient as an individual and treats each as a whole person, not just their injury.

Building and maintaining positive relationships with patients and within the community is important to Dr. Ortmann. He is actively involved in youth sports programs, his children’s school, and other area events including charity fundraisers. His own athletic endeavors include swimming, golf, and tennis. Community involvement is important to Dr. Ortmann as he enjoys connecting with community members for the betterment of the community.
