Dr. Ortmann did my wrist surgery in August 2025 while I was vacationing in Greensboro. I have come back every month for follow up visits. I’m not happy that I broke my wrist, but I am happy that he was my surgeon. He and the staff took excellent care of me in my time of need and during recovery. I couldn’t ask for a better surgeon. Thank you, Dr. Ortmann and emerge ortho staff!

Dr Ortmann is top notch. He has done 2 surgeries on my hand in the past. I have pain in that hand from arthritis so I called to see if I could be seen. He did xrays, spoke with me and gave me a cortisone shot with recommendations. And when I left as always a fist bump and reassurance that if he is needed not to hesitate to call. Would not trust anyone else 👍

I could tell from the moment he stepped into the room he was going to be a good fit for me and that he’s a very down to earth, people oriented provider. He listened to my concerns, joked with me and came up with a plan with how to handle my situation. I didn’t have to wait on him long, didn’t feel rushed and he was thorough. I could not ask for a better experience than the one I got. He was fantastic!

Dr. Ortmann is absolutely the best! His disposition, professionalism and genuine concern for my husband was and is second to none. We totally trust him and feel blessed to have a Dr. that listens and cares!

Dr. Ortmann strives to deliver patient-centered care by encouraging his patients to be actively involved in their medical care. After meeting with and listening to his patients, Dr. Ortmann develops a treatment plan to reflect the patient’s individual needs and values. He sees each patient as an individual and treats each as a whole person, not just their injury.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with patients and within the community is important to Dr. Ortmann. He is actively involved in youth sports programs, his children’s school, and other area events including charity fundraisers. His own athletic endeavors include swimming, golf, and tennis.
