Dr. Fred McAlpin specializes in arthroscopic shoulder surgery, knee surgery and sports medicine care. His practice in orthopaedic care includes minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgery techniques designed for athletes and non-athletes alike. As an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. McAlpin works with his patients to find relief from common ailments like arthritis, knee or shoulder injuries, fractures, and sprains. He is also the Director of the Orthopaedic Residency program at Inspira Health Network where he teaches new doctors about Orthopaedic Surgery and techniques for treating patients with orthopaedic conditions. Dr. McAlpin graduated from Ursinus College and earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served his Intership and Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In addition he attended Temple University for his Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
