In and out, no fuss. I noticed on my treatment form, second paragraph about banding, it says ‘produce’ where it should say ‘procedure’ just FYI
Might have talent. Don’t know. Bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired.
Dr. Essels was very professional and friendly
Good man-good job
The service provided was perfectly on time, seemingly very efficiently and swift. Dr. Wessels and his assistant wasted no time in caring for me and getting me back out the door. In fact, I don’t know of any other time in my 71 years I have been in and out of a doctor’s office that quickly!
Very good.
Dr. Wessels provided me with comprehensive information and immediate treatment to help me with my issues. I was super nervous about the appointment going in, but they alleviated all concerns.
I was referred following a colonoscopy and was given little context beforehand as to why I was being referred or what would transpire during the office visit. Dr. Wessels had not received nor looked at the images from my colonoscopy prior to the visit. I thought this visit would be to develop a treatment plan, but instead, I was handed a waiver for treatment and told to sign, again, with no context. And then I was evaluated with an anoscopy I had no idea I may be receiving prior tomy visit. No member of the practice discussed my health insurance deductible payment prior to arrival either, so I was not aware how much the medical visit would cost. More detailed and better communication prior to and during my visit, along with collectively discussing the results of my colonoscopy, would have made me feel more comfortable during this visit.
Went to 3 different GI specialists over a period of 30 years. All 3 DIFFERENT specialists said the identical same thing..”You have extremely large internal hemorrhoids and they need to be excised”. Dr. Wessels already had his mind made up what he was going to do before he even examined me. Upon examination he said “oh, these aren’t very big. I’m just going to inject them and then you can come back in 3 weeks and get another injection and again 3 weeks after that and get another injection. After that, if you’re still having trouble, we’ll do a banding. In the meantime, I want you to get a colonoscopy by another GI specialist. You can go to whoever you want but I’ve got a list of a group here in the same building and I know them all personally and they are all very good.” I was given a list prior to leaving, which he obviously preferred I go to. All he cared about was return visits for more money. Obviously, he didn’t listen to what the other docs or I said! Won’t go back ever
Very pleased with my first appointment. Tons of info I needed to hear! Everything was explained to me!
